Terms of Use

These Terms (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and the publisher of the SEIM app (“we”, “us”), and take effect when you use SEIM (app id io.seim.app, the “App”) on your device. By installing or using the App you agree to these Terms.

1. Introduction

  • SEIM is a habit tracking and habit-building app. It provides a habit library, day-by-day challenge packs, streak tracking, progress statistics and an AI coach.
  • The App works without an account. You do not need to register, provide an email or set a password. Your data is stored on your own device.

How the App handles your data is described in detail in the Privacy Policy, which forms an integral part of these Terms.

2. Conditions of use

  • Minimum age: you must be at least 13 years old to use the App. Users below 13 need permission from a parent or guardian.
  • Your device: you are responsible for installing the App from an official source and keeping it up to date.
  • Not medical advice: the App is a habit and lifestyle tool. Anything it or the AI coach produces is not a diagnosis, treatment or medical advice, and does not replace a doctor's opinion.

3. Your responsibilities

  • You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter (profile, body index, goal) and for using the App as intended.
  • You must not use the App to break the law, to harm others, or while in a state of ill health that makes exercising unsafe for you.
  • You are responsible for backing up your own data. Because your data lives only on your device and is never synced to a server, losing it by uninstalling, restoring your phone or clearing data cannot be undone.

4. Using the AI coach

  • The AI coach generates replies by machine. Its output does not diagnose conditions or prescribe medication, and may be inaccurate.
  • Do not use the App in place of seeing a doctor. If you are pregnant, injured or managing a health condition, ask your doctor before starting any exercise programme or changing your diet.
  • Use of the AI feature is subject to a daily message limit. We may adjust that limit.

5. Ownership

  • The App, the name "SEIM", its logo, interface and all content within it belong to us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property law.
  • We grant you a non-commercial, non-exclusive licence to use the App under these Terms. You may not copy, distribute, modify or exploit the App for commercial purposes.
  • Content you create in the App (a self-written challenge, your photos, your entries) belongs to you and remains subject to your privacy, as described in the Privacy Policy.

6. Disclaimer

  • The App is provided as is, without warranty of uninterrupted or error-free operation, or fitness for any particular purpose.
  • To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any direct or indirect loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, the App, including injury, loss of health or loss of data.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of the App or these Terms is limited to the amount you paid for the App (which is zero, since the App is free), except where liability cannot be excluded under mandatory law.

8. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. Uninstalling permanently erases all of your local data and cannot be undone.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Every update will carry an effective date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the App after that date means you accept the updated version.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Vietnam. Any dispute will be resolved under the rules in force at the place where the publisher operates, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.
